SABANCI VAKFI SHORT FILM COMPETITION - MARKET

The Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition places great importance on supporting the career journeys of young filmmakers who apply to the competition, with the aim of drawing attention to social issues through the power of cinema. Throughout the competition process, special one-on-one meetings are held with finalist directors during the training camp in order to provide them with constructive and meaningful feedback. Prior to the award ceremony, the Perspective Talks and Masterclass events bring together master figures of cinema with everyone who has an interest in film.

In order to touch the lives of directors and elevate support for their artistic journeys to a professional level, the Sabancı Foundation has launched the Market selection. Within the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition Market selection, finalist films are submitted to leading festivals around the world. Directors participating in the competition receive feedback on their films from international festival directors. While films offering different perspectives on global issues reach wider audiences, directors from Türkiye are also enabled to build international connections.

The Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition continues to introduce innovations in order to support participating directors on an international level as well.
